Minutes Approval: July minutes approved.
Introduction of Our New Online Editor: Sherry Skalko has been hired as our editor/webmaster of journalists.org.
Financials: Neil Budde reports that membership fees are up and conference fees are coming in. The board discussed our overall expenses for the conference.
Challenge Grant: We were awarded a grant from the Challenge Fund for Journalism. The board is working on fundraising plans.
10-Year Anniversary: ONA will soon celebrate its 10 year anniversary. The board discussed ideas for new promotions, contests and a membership drive.
Terms: Jon Dube and Neil Budde say they are running for re-election since they were appointed for additional years last time. They have been added to the slate.
Search for New Executive Director: At the time of this meeting, the field was being narrowed down by a committee. A vote will be taken in the next two weeks.
