Minutes
The board approved the October board meeting minutes
Web site
Journalists.org Editor, Sherry Skalko, walked board members through the redesigned site and talked about new features. All board members were encouraged to participate in another call the following week to discuss in more details.
Awards/Partner:
Anthony Moor updated the board with progress he’s made in looking for a partner school for our awards.
’09 Conference:
The board discussed next year’s receptions and registration fees. Katharine Fong and Liz Lufkin will provide more details to the board at December board meeting.
Conference Keynote Committee
Susan Mernit will chair this committee. We are planning on two high-quality keynotes this year. We are also discussing the super panel format.
Fundraising
Jane McDonnell says she will meet with the Knight Foundation in the first weeks of Dec.
Grants
The board discussed forming a committee focused on grants and fundraising.
News U webinars
Christine Montgomery says we continue to work with News U on webinars and can offer to our membership.
In-person board meeting
The Board will meet Dec. 11-12 in San Francisco.
