The meeting was convened at 10 a.m. ET.
Board meeting minutes: Jon Dube moved for approval of the minutes from Feb. and March. Approved by unanimous vote.
In-person board meeting: Jane McDonnell discussed logistics of the May 15-16 board meeting which will take place at NPR.
Funding/Grants: Jane McDonnell talked about the challenge fund grant situation after a call with the grant advisors. The board needs to continue to reach out to people who can donate to the organization. Board members talked about ways to encourage contributions, including in-person meetings and expanding our ‘support a journalist’ campaign.
The board decided to have another conversation next week about the subject.
