Below is the slate of nominees for the 2013 Board of Directors for the Online News Association.
Under the bylaws, the board may be composed of up to 15 voting members. For 2013, eight seats were filled by incumbent board members who are completing the second year of their terms. One seat was filled by appointment to ensure diverse representation, leaving seven seats open.
There are 12 new candidates and three incumbents on the slate.
Voting opened during the first day of the 2012 Online News Association Conference & Awards Banquet, Friday, Sept. 21, and closed Oct. 11. Candidates were invited to speak at a Lighting Round session and mingle with voting members in attendance at ONA12.
