Welcome new ONA board members

The results of the 2023-24 Board of Directors election are in. ONA members voted for their candidates of choice from a slate of 12 talented leaders representing a wide and diverse range of digital media.

Kristen Reed, Content Director at TEGNA, will join five re-elected board members for their two-year term beginning on Jan. 1, 2023.

Re-elected board members:

  • Ashley Alvarado, Vice President of Community Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, Southern California Public Radio
  • Imaeyen Ibanga, Presenter, Documentarian, & Senior Producer, AJ+
  • Niketa Patel, Digital Media Advisor & Executive Coach
  • Rodney Gibbs, Senior Director, Strategy and Innovation, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
  • Rubina Madan Fillion, Director of Strategy, The New York Times Opinion
The board will appoint one additional seat by the end of the year to meet specific organizational goals.
