How we select conference sessions
Pitches start a conversation. Ideas shared in the ONA22 Suggestion Box so far include sessions on engaging communities in environmental news, data collaborations and flexible publishing platforms.
The volunteer ONA22 Program Team — a diverse group of journalism professionals and technologists — reviews each and every submission. They consider innovative approaches, speaker diversity and how the session formats would contribute learning for in-person and remote attendees. From the “short list,” we sometimes combine sessions on similar issues or ask submitters to include another presenter to their roster. Get the full scoop on the Suggestion Box process and submit ONA22 pitches by April 21.
