What the public thinks about your AI use in news

ONA and Trusting News are teaming up on a new project to understand what people really think about AI in newsrooms, including the way news organizations disclose their policies and how it affects trust. We’re looking to collaborate with and support a small cohort of organizations as part of this work. If your newsroom could use guidance to figure out AI ethics policies and disclosures, apply by June 19 to get involved.

Plus, get a head start this week: Trusting News Assistant Director Lynn Walsh will lead a 60-minute training session on Friday, June 14, on AI, trust and transparency. Anyone is welcome to attend. Tickets are free for ONA members and $25 for non-members.

Last call: Register for ONA24 before the price increase

We really don’t want you to miss this opportunity, so here’s one more reminder! Discounted Early Bird passes for ONA24 are available through Thursday, June 13, 11:59 p.m. EDT. The price increases June 14.

Registering early saves you money (30% off), and confirming your plans now helps us better understand who will be in the mix and what your top interests are as we finalize plans for the big week. It’s a win-win. Learn more about ONA24 passes.
