Amplifying the stories of 5,000 missing women in Argentina

For last year’s International Women’s Day, LA NACION unveiled an ambitious project that put a spotlight on the disappearance of more than 5,000 women in Argentina over three decades. The project involved collaboration over four months among a diverse group of experts — including journalists, photographers, UX designers, data analysts and more — and won the Knight Award for Public Service in the 2023 Online Journalism Awards.

We recently reconnected with the team to hear about how the project got its start and what it meant to win in the OJAs. Read more on how LA NACION is holding the government accountable in the search for missing women.

Applications due Friday for the Women’s Leadership Accelerator

Here’s a final reminder! The deadline to apply for the 2024 Women’s Leadership Accelerator is this Friday, March 22, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. The program is a six-month intensive learning and networking experience that supercharges the leadership and management skills of women in digital media. Do you know someone who should be part of this year’s cohort? Is that you? Learn more about the accelerator and submit the application, including a recommendation letter, before the deadline.
