Join hosts Imaeyen Ibanga, ONA Board of Directors member and Presenter at AJ+, and LaSharah S. Bunting, ONA CEO and Executive Director, as they honor finalists and reveal the winners in 17 of the 23 categories that were open for submissions.

In case you missed it: We recently announced the recipients of four special awards that honor individuals who have had a tremendous impact on journalism. Get to know the honorees for the ONA Community Award, James Foley Award for Conflict Reporting, Impact Award and Rich Jaroslovsky Founder Award.

One week until ONA23: Philadelphia

The ONA23 logo.The in-person component of ONA23 kicks off Wednesday, Aug. 23. We are gathering in Philadelphia for over 80 interactive sessions across four days, covering everything from the rapid expansion of AI to engaging audiences with short-form video to journalism’s role in combating extremism. It’s not too late to get a conference pass: Register now for ONA23.

If you can’t be in Philly, make plans to join us online for ONA23: Onward, Sept. 28-29. This virtual experience will expand on our conversations on AI innovations and emerging platforms. Virtual-only ONA23: Onward passes are $250 for ONA members and $350 for non-members. Students can register for $100, regardless of membership.

Board voting is open

Voting to fill six seats on the 2024-25 ONA Board of Directors is open through Sept. 7. ONA members: We need your vote for who should lead ONA into its 25th year. Review the 15 candidates up for election.
