Announcing ONA’s Inaugural Early Career Board Officer

We are thrilled to announce Elizabeth Gabriel’s appointment to the ONA Board of Directors, a position created to highlight the needs of entry-level journalists and inform ONA’s focus on career development and innovation training. Elizabeth is an education reporter at WFYI in Indianapolis, passionate about centering youth voices in journalism, and has served as a mentor for the National Association of Black Journalists’ college journalism program. Seeking your best Olympics and Paralympics coverage  

The 2022 Online Journalism Awards feature a new topical reporting category honoring excellence in digital coverage for the 2021 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games and the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are looking to recognize projects by small, medium and large newsrooms that can include individual and team profiles of athletes, real-time reporting of events, explanatory coverage for specific sporting events or rules, the politics of the Games and features about the host country’s preparation for the games. Submit your best work to the 2022 OJAs by June 9.
