We are excited to bring you a new series of leadership conversations inspired by the Women’s Leadership Accelerator. The accelerator is a yearlong, cohort-based program that supercharges the leadership and management skills of women pushing digital innovation. Each year we also organize community events to expand our impact beyond the cohorts — bringing inspiring, high-quality training to more women in journalism and other leaders motivated to empower women on their teams.
This year’s virtual leadership series includes three learning sessions, plus a facilitated networking meetup to connect inspiring women in digital news. Each learning session will dive into strategies and opportunities to advocate for yourself. The series kicks off Thursday, Nov. 4 with a focus on strategies to demonstrate the value and impact of your ideas and your team’s vision. Nadine Ajaka, Senior Producer, Visual Forensics, at The Washington Post, will moderate a conversation with Amy King, Creative Director and Managing Editor at the Los Angeles Times, and Irene McKisson, Co-Founder of AZ Luminaria.
