A warm welcome to the newest directors who joined ONA’s Board of Directors on Jan. 1, 2017! Imaeyen Ibanga, Web/Video Producer at NBC News, and Elite Truong, Product Manager, Partner Platforms at Vox Media, were voted onto the Board by ONA members. Meet the 2017 Women’s Leadership Accelerator cohort
 Get inspired by the 25 women who will participate in the 2017 Women’s Leadership Accelerator. The participants, chosen from a pool of more than 300 applicants, have each presented a unique problem in their careers which they will focus on throughout the course of the Accelerator, to be held Feb. 5-10, 2017, at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in Los Angeles.

 2016 was a busy year for ONA Local! We welcomed 12 new groups in U.S. cities and college campuses to the ONA Local family this year and saw five international groups host their first events. Thanks to funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, we brought representatives from 40 local groups to ONA16. We also started a Slack group to keep everyone connected.
