✨Make Your Resume Shine✨

12 - 1 p.m. EST (9 - 10 a.m. PST)

About

Lynette Clemetson, Director of Wallace House Center for Journalists at the University of Michigan, and Adriana Lacy, founder of Journalism Mentors, and leading network television news executive Leonor Ayala Polley, are here to share their best practices and advice for telling your professional story through your resume, with plenty of time dedicated to attendee questions. Whether you’re looking to get your first job or a seasoned executive wondering how to pivot, you’ll leave this session with ideas to make your resume shine.

This virtual session is being held ahead of ONA Career Day 2023 to help prepare anyone looking for a new job, fellowship or academic opportunities to connect with recruiters and program representatives participating in the event.

Housekeeping Notes

The livestream will start at noon EST/ 9 a.m. PST. If the start time has passed, and the session looks like it hasn’t started, please try refreshing your screen.

Not everyone feels comfortable sharing their identity in a session that implies interest in making career changes. While you’ll be asked in the chat to share your name, it does not need to be your given name. Your favorite color, breakfast food, or pet’s name are all options to use. We only ask that whatever name you use, as well as whatever you contribute to the chat itself, follow the ONA Code of Conduct. The moderator will not use names when referencing audience questions in this stream.

This session is being recorded, and the archived video and transcript will be available in the ONA Resource Library in the coming week.
