Renewed funding for the OJAsThe logo for the 2023 Online Journalism Awards.

We’re excited to announce continued support from SmartNews for the Online Journalism Awards. This partnership will allow us to award $60,000 in cash prizes over three years to the winners in the General Excellence category of the OJAs.

The ONA community will celebrate winners and finalists in the 2023 awards on Aug. 26 at the 2023 Online Journalism Awards Ceremony and Banquet. Attending the OJAs is the best way to close out ONA23: Philadelphia – join us there by adding a ticket to your ONA23 registration.

Reminder: Board nominations due July 20

Review the criteria for nominees and the required forms. ONA members, send in nominations by July 20.

What’s next? We’ll announce the candidates on Aug. 2, the date to join or renew your ONA membership is Aug. 10, and voting begins for members on Aug. 14.
