ONA Weekly #467: AI In Newsrooms: A Practical Guide

By on June 28, 2023

Meetup: A practical guide to AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI), while disruptive, does offer some unique opportunities. Join us on July 11 for an interactive webinar, A Practical Newsroom Guide to AI, where we will share examples of AI being put to good use and guidelines for implementation.

Aimee Rinehart, Senior Product Manager AI Strategy at The Associated Press, will moderate a conversation with Joe Amditis, Assistant Director of Products and Events, Center for Cooperative Media; Ernest Kung, AI Product Manager, The Associated Press; Adriana Lacy, Adriana Lacy Consulting and Hank Sims, Editor and Lead Developer, Lost Coast Outpost. Then, attendees will join one of four breakout sessions of their choice.

Register now and prepare to come away from this session with approachable ways to test AI in your own newsrooms. This event is free for ONA members.

Polish your newsletter strategy

Newsletters are proving to be a popular method of direct-to-audience outreach in the wake of social media platform disruption. To help boost your email strategy, we compiled highlights from recent conference learning sessions. Dive into key takeaways for tips on content metrics, email courses and more.

If you’re in New York City, join ONA for a meetup about audience engagement strategies for newsletters on July 18! Thank you to WordPress VIP for their generous support of this event.
