Free training in St. Louis

If you’re the St. Louis area, join ONA St. Louis July 18 for a thoughtful discussion on how to navigate gender dynamics in the workplace. From the archives: Newsroom experiments with intention

We are sharing resources from the ONA archives throughout 2019, as we celebrate 20 years of inspiring innovation and excellence in digital journalism.

Are you running an experiment or just winging it? Winging it is trying a new idea where success is subjective and insights are limited. Experiments involve a hypothesis about what you want to learn, measurement, iteration, a definition of success and insights that assess the value of your idea. Learn from Sasha Koren and Sarah Schamlbach, former co-leads of the Guardian Mobile Innovation Lab, in this ONA18 session that outlined, step by step, how newsrooms can experiment with intention.

Upcoming events

ONA Local groups regularly host events for digital journalists all over the world. Find a group near you or learn how to start a new one.
