Funding for educators and local newsrooms
 Applications are due June 20 for the Challenge Fund for Innovation in Journalism Education, which supports local news experiments. Aimed at journalism educators who are collaborating in their local communities, the fund has already supported 23 experiments. This year’s challenge will provide micro-grants of up to $35,000 each to 10 projects to be completed during the fall of 2017.
