
Previously at The Wall Street Journal, Karen was the Editor for Newsroom Standards, responsible for guiding and upholding the Journal newsroom’s standards and ethics around the globe. Karen held a variety of other leadership positions at the Journal and its parent company, Dow Jones & Co., on both the journalism and commercial/corporate sides of the house. These include managing editor/international; money and markets editor of The Wall Street Journal Europe; director of corporate communications for Dow Jones; and director of Dow Jones Interactive Publishing International, where she was responsible for the international expansion of digital businesses, including WSJ.com. In 2000, Karen led the pan-department project team that created Dow Jones’s first intranet and she is now leading the newsroom’s WSJ2020 project team on workflow.
