What Should We Say? New Research on AI Disclosures in Journalism

As generative AI tools become more integrated into journalism, transparency about how and when they’re used is essential to building trust. But what should journalists say to audiences? What kind of language builds understanding and what causes confusion or skepticism? In this session, Trusting News will share its latest research on transparency around AI use in journalism. You’ll walk away with insight into what disclosures resonate and what pitfalls to avoid. This session is perfect for anyone navigating AI use in their newsroom or looking to build clarity and credibility with their community.
