ONA STL: Newsroom tour: St. Louis Public Radio, panel discussion on podcasting

What We’ll Do
We’ve rescheduled this canceled event! Come join ONA St. Louis on Thursday, March 21, as we tour St. Louis Public Radio and host a panel discussion on podcasting.

What You Can Expect
Per usual, we’ll have free food and nonalcoholic beverages. The event will be held in the community room at St. Louis Public Radio, located at 3651 Olive St.

Free street parking is available along Olive Street and in the Scottish Rite garage right across from St. Louis Public Radio.

Please note: This event starts promptly at 6 p.m., so please arrive on time. If you arrive and need some assistance getting into the building, please call Veneta Rizvic at 314-269-6629 or Steph Kukuljan at 314-971-0615.

Schedule
5:15 to 6 p.m.
We typically give people about a half hour to arrive at the venue. Take your time to sign in, grab some food and drink, and mingle.

6 to 6:20 p.m.
Tour of St. Louis Public Radio

6:20–6:35 p.m.
Shula Neuman, executive editor at St. Louis Public Radio, will deliver opening remarks, followed by a quick icebreaker and update on ONA St. Louis’ upcoming events and other news.

6:35– 6:45 p.m.
Lightning talk by Tyler Kelley of Innovation City

6:55 – 7:45 p.m
Introduction of Holly Edgell, editor of a four-station collaborative coverage initiative on race, identity and culture at St. Louis Public Radio who will moderate a panel discussion with Claire Gauen of “Hold That Thought,” Jeremy D. Goodwin of “Cut & Paste,” and Jia Lian Yang and Treasure Shields Redmond of “Who Raised You? ”

Break (if needed)

7:45 – 8 p.m
We’ll then take questions from attendees for a brief Q&A with our speakers. You can also submit questions in advance to stlouis@journalists.org.

ONA St. Louis wants to remind attendees we have members from dozens of St. Louis-area media outlets. We ask that people be mindful and constructive when mentioning local examples in conversation.
