6:00 pm: Happy hour at Momo’s (760 2nd St, San Francisco, CA 94107). Happy hour is open to anyone in the ONA community, including those who cannot attend the workshop.
Cynthia X. Hua is a researcher of online media ecosystems. She currently works on video at Facebook, and previously held positions at Buzzfeed and Hulu
AJ+ is Al Jazeera’s digital-only offshoot, launched in September 2014 to build a new kind of media outlet for people who don’t watch traditional news networks on TV. AJ+ became one of the biggest video publishers on Facebook by creating custom videos optimized for the emerging video platform.
