What should reporting look like in the Internet age? ONA SF is hosting a post-election happy hour to discuss topics in Internet news such as fair internet reporting, press freedoms, filter bubbles, social media journalism and fake news. Local journalists and other online media professionals are invited to come, mingle and share their viewpoints on reporting in the digital age. Now, more than ever, it is important for those in the media field to develop and share ideas about how to overcome obstacles to disseminating accurate and fair information via the web.
The event will include organized brainstorms for ways those in online news can better serve their audiences. Attendees will be able to meet and hear from others active in the field, as well to generate ideas for calls to action. All are welcome!
