ONA Reno: Learn & Burn: Creating a process for testing, adopting new tools and technology

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA Reno

• What we’ll do
ONA Reno is proud to host Heather Bryant, director of Project Facet, as our February speaker!

Heather will be presenting “Creating a Process for Testing and Adopting New Tools and Technology,” which is an interactive training about finding new tools and technology and creating individual plans for managing experimentation and adoption in your newsrooms. We’ll talk about evaluating versions of tools and figuring out when the free version is enough, when to buy and when it’s worth building something custom. And almost all good things come to an end, making it important to talk about planning for obsolescence and what can be done to plan for when a tool or service goes away or you have to work through the process of switching to something new.

There will be takeaways for both journalism students and media professionals!

Join us at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, in the Concept Cafe of the UNR Innevation Center on Sinclair Street.

This event is free. Please RSVP here or on our Facebook posting. Refreshments are planned.
