The weekly Media Night Crew (which meets most first Thursdays of each month), along with the SPJ Oregon Territory Chapter and Online News Association – Portland are joining forces on Thursday, Dec. 1 for a “Beer 101” course and holiday party at Belmont Station.
Belmont Station is owned by former online journalist Lisa Morrison. The shop carries 23 taps and more than 1,400 bottles and cans of beer, cider and mead.
They also have wine and non-alcoholic choices.
Lisa is the author of the Craft Beers of the Northwest and collaborator on many other beer books and former host of the Beer O’Clock radio show which aired for 9 years! Learn more about hops, IPA, Belgian-style beers and more.
Event is free, but bar is no-host. Hear how there is life after journalism and how journalism brought Lisa toward her dream job. A Philly-inspired food cart has great sandwiches, snacks and salads. Again, the event is free, but let us know if you are coming.
