ONA Pittsburgh: Digital Storytelling: How to Decide What Will Work for Your Newsroom

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA Pittsburgh

All of our newsrooms have dealt with ever-shrinking professional development and training budgets, but we all have to try to stay current. How do you know which new platforms or technologies will be worth your time, and how do you convince your bosses to spend resources?

Please join The Incline and ONA Pittsburgh for a free digital newsroom training. Heather Bryant, of Project Facet, will present a session on assessing new technologies to see what is useful for your storytelling and what’s worth investing in. This session, part of the new ONA Speakers Bureau series, should be great for anyone who oversees digital projects or acts (officially or unofficially) as their newsroom or department’s digital evangelist. You’ll go back to your newsroom armed with tools to help you make smart choices about where to invest time and resources (and how to win over reluctant decision-makers).

You don’t have to be an ONA member to attend and participate (but we’re always happy to welcome new members!). We’re lucky to be one of the first ONA local chapters to host the Speakers’ Bureau, and have more in the works in the coming months.

Please RSVP. Light refreshments will be served.
