Join ONA Philly for a casual happy hour on Wednesday, June 7, to meet other digital journalists and learn more about the organization. We’ll discuss what kind of programming you want to see from a meetup group focused entirely on professional development and community building for local digital journalists.
In pre-pandemic years, ONA Philly hosted lightning talks on community engagement; a panel on fighting misinformation; many happy hours; an open discussion on pay in the industry; a tour of a local typewriter shop; a community-focused newsroom crawl; group visits to Phillies games and more.
In 2023, we want to get back to that, so come with ideas about how ONA Philly can serve you this year. If you’re new to the region (or journalism) since the pandemic started, we especially want to meet you! All are welcome.
