How do we combat our current crisis of misinformation?

Online News Association Philadelphia presents an evening of exploring the behavioral science reasons behind why people share misinformation online and potential solutions we can employ to help solve our current situation.

Join us at 6:30pm ET on Thursday, November 29th for a panel discussion and Q&A. This event is open to all members of the public, journalism students and professionals alike.

Panelists:

Dr. Gleb Tsipursky is the CEO of Disaster Avoidance Experts, where he empowers leaders and organizations to avoid business disasters through consulting, coaching, and speaking. Gleb serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Intentional Insights, and co-founded the Pro-Truth Pledge. A behavioral science expert with over 15 years in academia, including 7 as a professor at Ohio State University, Gleb authored the best-selling book The Truth-Seeker’s Handbook: A Science-Based Guide.

Aubrey Nagle is a writer, editor & media literacy advocate working in Philadelphia. She is the Newsletter Editor at Philadelphia Media Network, where she authors the Inquirer Morning Newsletter, and the founder of Foolproof, a newsletter about misinformation and understanding our digital lives.

The panel will be moderated by Susan Poulton, President of digital consulting firm Door 44 Digital and former Chief Digital Officer at The Franklin Institute.
