ONA New Orleans: Spring Lightning Talks!

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA New Orleans

Have a recent reporting triumph you’re looking to celebrate? A new digital technique you’d like to share?

Come tell us about a data journalism project you’ve been working on, a new app or tool you’re developing to get information into the hands of residence, how your team rocked election coverage, or how you’ve been experimenting with a new platform. Tell us about a time you failed and what you learned from it. Tell us about how you’re engaging your audience in new ways. We want to hear it all – in 5 minutes or less.

New Orleans journalists and those visiting town for Jazz Fest and Collision are more than welcome.

Send us your lightning talk pitches by filling out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSds0pAxAqGeMcG-LbGKQs7X03-F7RM3iNHTL2yW-XC0lSDycw/viewform?usp=sf_link
Or just come by and enjoy the talks, refreshments and meeting with your fellow journalists. Talks begin at 7pm.

ONA Local is a global network hosting networking, idea-sharing and peer-to-peer learning events for local journalists, innovators, and technologists. We’re powered by volunteers, community experts and connectors at the local level, and we’d love to hear what you want to see from the group in New Orleans. Learn more on our FAQ (http://journalists.org/ona-local/ona-local-faq/).

If you can’t make it but would like find out more about getting involved with ONA New Orleans, please get in touch.
