ONA NC Triangle: Inaugural Meetup

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA NC Triangle

You are invited to join us for the first meeting of the new local chapter of Online News Association (ONA).

Our first program will feature John Clark, director of the Reese Felts Digital News Lab at the University of North Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications. He and his students produced a mobile website this summer — whichwaync.com — focusing on North Carolina politics. They created an immersive interactive guide to campaign finance that would take full advantage of mobile browsing—that is to say, users on touch screen devices can swipe and tap their way, bit by bit, through the whole package. Find out how they did it — and the importance of thinking digitally first.

The meeting will be hosted by The News & Observer at 215 S. McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 in the McDaniels Conference room on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 7-9 p.m. Free parking will be available on site in the company lot at the corner of Martin and Hargett Streets (right next to the N&O building). After you park, enter the building and someone will get you to the conference room. Light refreshments will be served.
