ONA DFW: Cryptoparty! Learn to secure yourself on the internet

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA DFW

How do you protect yourself, your colleagues, and your sources in a world where reporting on facts is a radical proposition? While most journalists are aware of the potential for being targeted, only rarely are they IT security professionals– and that’s okay!

Our friends from the Dallas Cryptoparty group are going to show you what these abstract threats actually look like in practice and provide a conceptual understanding of how to defend yourself from them.

You’ll leave with a roadmap for learning the habits of information security, and the confidence to start building the right skills. Proficiency at information security is a lifelong journey. This is where it starts.

Seats for this event are limited, so RSVP!
