ONA Chicago: Workshop – Fundamentals of data journalism

Want to get into data journalism but not sure where to get started? This workshop will give you an overview of current approaches, tools, and practices. In addition, you will leave with THREE new skills after having built your own data-driven visualizations.

Bring your laptop — this is a hands-on workshop!

This workshop will be led by the awesome Lisa Williams. She is an engagement and data expert who has run startups, been an MIT Media Lab fellow, worked at NPR affiliates, The Boston Globe/Boston.com and worked with dozens of organizations looking to create greater community engagement online and offline.
