Peter Marsh is the Editorial Lead of the News Web and App Product teams at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Australia’s public broadcaster. He’s been at the forefront of the ABC’s live blog strategy evolution, blogging everything from elections domestic and foreign to the Game of Thrones finale. He currently works with product teams to produce innovative tools for the ABC’s next generation of bloggers.
Emily Olson is the head of live blogs for the Associated Press, where she’s helping to turn a 175-year-old wire service into a digital-first, direct-to-consumer newsroom. She designed the AP’s live blog workflow from the ground up and works with every reporting team across the organization to drive digital strategy for major events and breaking news.

Where will the meetup take place?
This event will be hosted on Zoom. For this particular event, you’ll have the best experience if you join via the Zoom app on a desktop or laptop computer so that you can see the presentation on a larger screen. You can also join using the mobile app, although the presentation may be harder to view.
Can I dial in by phone?
We recommend joining from your computer, tablet or phone using the Zoom app. You won’t be able to access the presentation slides, chat and exercises if you’re dialed in via phone only. If you’re unfamiliar with Zoom, we’ll have staff on hand to troubleshoot, and we also suggest checking out the Zoom support site for more help.
