Run for the ONA Board of Directors

We are looking for inspiring journalism leaders to join ONA’s 2026-27 Board of Directors—and today, Wednesday, Aug. 27, is the last chance to submit nominations. Serving on the board is a unique opportunity to help guide ONA’s strategic direction and shape the future of digital journalism.

How to declare your candidacy:

1. Confirm you are an ONA member.
2. Review the nominee criteria and responsibilities required of board members, and have an understanding of ONA’s mission.
3. Ask another ONA member to nominate you using the nomination form.
4. Complete the candidate form. 

ONA members active as of Sunday, Sept. 7, will be eligible to cast ballots in this year’s election.

Day passes a great option for solo journalists and local newsrooms to be part of ONA25 without committing to a full conference week. You’re already in town, so check out the schedule and stop in for just one day. One-day passes are $175 for ONA members and $200 for non-members.
