Submit your ONA24 session and meetup ideas by April 12

By on April 4, 2024

Our community’s fresh and creative ideas fuel much of the experience at ONA’s annual conference. Now is your chance to share how you want to contribute to ONA24 (Sept. 18-21 in Atlanta).

Propose a session

The ONA24 Suggestion Box is where the conference program takes shape.

What are you learning lately that you are eager to share with the journalism community? What conversations or perspectives are being overlooked? We are looking for inspirational and practical ideas around emerging trends in journalism and sessions that are oriented to building solutions.

The Suggestion Box is open through April 12, 11:59 p.m. EDT. Anyone can pitch, and you can share as many ideas as you like.

To help you prepare great proposals, we’ve created a comprehensive guide about the Suggestion Box process:

In addition to a strong focus on practical training, we are designing the ONA24 program with even more ways to connect with peers. The schedule includes session blocks for open, minimally-structured meetups based on topics.

Meetups might gather people around similar job roles, coverage areas such as elections or climate, specific interests and more. At this stage, anything goes — we want to hear what’s on your mind! Tell us about the connections you want to make while in Atlanta.
