This year we have had the honor and privilege of celebrating Siri Carpenter as the latest recipient of the ONA Community Award for her work as Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Open Notebook (TON). The ONA Community Award recognizes a person, small team or community that has created inclusive working environments that enable colleagues to deliver game-changing journalism. Honorees are selected from a pool of nominations by ONA members.

Reminder: Broadcast professionals meetup Nov. 8

We are excited to gather professionals working at the intersection of broadcast journalism and audience engagement for a virtual meetup next Wednesday, Nov. 8. This is a participatory event, not a webinar or presentation; come ready to share an idea or two from your work and expertise.
