The ONA23 Suggestion Box is now open! We are excited to hear from the ONA community about the conversations and lessons that are most important to feature at the 2023 Online News Association Conference (#ONA23).

Gather your ideas for dynamic sessions and speakers in the areas of audience development and metrics, emerging technology, innovative news storytelling, leadership development and revenue or content strategy, including product strategy.

Session pitches for both ONA23: Philadelphia (Aug. 23–26) and the virtual portion of the conference, ONA23: Onward (Sept. 28–29), will be considered for programming during the Suggestion Box process.

Remembering Mandy Jenkins

Mandy was not only instrumental in creating the Women’s Leadership Accelerator and was a force in digital journalism, she was also a mentor and a friend to so many in our community. 

This loss is profound and we will miss her infinitely. Read some of her colleagues’ tributes and memories.

Registration for ONA Career Day is open!

Register now for ONA Career Day, taking place Thursday, March 9! This free, half-day virtual event will feature live and asynchronous networking with recruiters as well as fellowship and academic program representatives excited to share opportunities. We’ll also have live career development learning sessions and resources. You are welcome to spend all five hours with us, stop by to just browse, or anywhere in between!

Meet the 2023 Women’s Leadership Accelerator Cohort!

We recently welcomed 26 incredible changemakers to the 2023 Women’s Leadership Accelerator (#ONAWLA)! The accelerator is an intensive program of mentoring, discussion and learning from some of the top minds in digital media. Participants work Photos of each of the 2023 ONAWLA cohort membersarranged in a grid closely with coaches on challenges unique to their careers and also receive support from ONA throughout the year. 

Members of the 2023 cohort represent a wide range of journalism backgrounds and serve audiences from San Diego, California, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the majority of this inspiring group identify as women of color. 

The 2023 Women’s Leadership Accelerator is tuition-free thanks to lead funder Dow Jones Foundation, and supporters Inasmuch Foundation, The New York Times and the Tiffany Shackelford Foundation. Join them as a supporter!
