Free mental health training for journalists

The National Press Foundation is offering training for journalists to better understand the complexities of reporting on mental health, Sept. 18-21, in Washington, D.C.. Over four days, journalists will learn best practices for reporting on mental illness and mental health policy, with a focus on how to approach reporting on crimes involving the mentally ill. U.S. journalists can apply by July 13 for an all-expenses-paid fellowship to the training.
