ONA16 Suggestion Box opens

Help create an inspiring conference for digital journalists

By on March 3, 2016

ona16-suggestion-box-logoPitch a session idea to ONA16, the Online News Association Conference in Denver, Sept. 15-17.

Each year, journalists, technologists, academics and others passionate about news and media come to our conference to share exciting trends in digital journalism. Submissions will account for the majority of educational programming, so this is your best chance to get involved. We’re looking for pitches that are inspiring, instructional or both.

We’ve found that the best pitches fall into one of two categories:

  • Inspirational or aspirational, representing emerging trends, tools and ideas in journalism, or describing our field at its absolute best.
  • Shared expertise, with clear, specific aims for what attendees might learn.

Submit your idea to the ONA16 Suggestion Box and it could be part of the program.

Deadline: March 31 (11:59 p.m. ET)

ONA’s Digital Director Trevor Knoblich has great tips about how to create a strong proposal.

Want to check out ideas others have shared? Submissions to the ONA16 Suggestion Box will be posted on the ONA16 website.

Every submission to the Suggestion Box is carefully reviewed by both the ONA staff and a committee of volunteers. Follow the ONA16 blog for more updates.
