Are you passionate about digital media and interested in helping to lead the world’s largest association of digital journalists? Apply for one of the six open seats on ONA’s Board of Directors by Friday, Aug. 14. To support young journalists, give them a voice and hear first-hand their concerns, we’re happy to announce that the Board will also select and appoint one Student member as a non-voting director.

ONA’s Challenge Fund honored by ASAE

ONA is in the business of recognizing great work, through our awards, scholarship and fellowship programs. This month, the Challenge Fund for Innovation in Journalism Education receives its own honor, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Power of A Silver Star Awards, the association industry’s highest honor. Coalition renews call for more transparent administration

ONA joined a coalition of media organizations in a follow-up letter to the Obama administration, urging the President to publicly affirm his commitment to transparency, to issue an executive order prohibiting restrictive public information policies, and to engage in a public discussion on neutral ground so that Americans can be assured their government is dedicated to the free flow of information.

Jeremiah Patterson

Jeremiah was ONA's Digital Manager from 2012 to the fall of 2016 and was responsible for ONA's collection of websites, including journalists.org, conference websites, the membership center, awards platforms and more. Before joining ONA, he served as a web producer and content developer at The Wildlife Society, maintaining the organization’s website, email marketing and other online services. An Ohio native and media enthusiast, Jeremiah grew up with a deep interest in video production and graphic design. He now focuses in user experience and human-centered design.
