Congrats to 2015-16 Challenge Fund winners!

Eleven projects from 13 U.S. universities each won $35,000 though the Challenge Fund for Innovation in Journalism Education to help seed collaborative news projects in their communities. Six more projects received honorable mentions. Check out their experiments, in partnership with local media outlets.

Knight-VICE Innovators Fund seeks applications

The Knight Foundation and Vice Media have partnered with the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism on a new $500,000 fund. Applicants are encouraged to explore “new forms of storytelling, create new tools and curricula, and take the tools of journalism to new places and to the next generation of news consumers.” Learn more and apply by June 1.

Jeremiah Patterson

Jeremiah was ONA's Digital Manager from 2012 to the fall of 2016 and was responsible for ONA's collection of websites, including journalists.org, conference websites, the membership center, awards platforms and more. Before joining ONA, he served as a web producer and content developer at The Wildlife Society, maintaining the organization’s website, email marketing and other online services. An Ohio native and media enthusiast, Jeremiah grew up with a deep interest in video production and graphic design. He now focuses in user experience and human-centered design.
