More time to nominate journalism's leaders for the ONA Board of Directors

We're looking for members who want to make an impact on the world of digital journalism to step up and help lead the Online News Association's Board of Directors. To give you a chance to get involved, we're extending the deadline for nominations for the seven seats open for the 2012-14 term. You've got a week to get another ONA member to nominate you and submit your materials to us.

The nomination period, originally due to close Thursday, July 12, will now be extended to Thursday, July 19, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Participation on the ONA Board of Directors is a unique opportunity for digital professionals interested in shaping the future of online journalism, helping to guide a fast-growing organization into its next phase and working to build a stronger industry. Board participation is a chance to grow personally and professionally, to develop skills, experience and connections with a team of other passionate and motivated professionals.
