Social video — you’ve seen it in your Facebook feed. You’ve known about Snapchat, but aren’t sure how to take your selfie skills from your personal account to the professional world.
This month’s special ONA Dallas-Fort Worth social hour + programming event is for you.
Hannah Wise and Tiney Ricciardi, both of the Dallas Morning News, will lead attendees through a free-wheeling, interactive session of experimenting with using both Facebook Live and Snapchat for storytelling.
We talk a brief best practices, how different news orgs are engaging their audiences on social video platforms and then everyone will make their own snap stories and Facebook Live broadcasts.
The deets:
What: The next exploding watermelon, social video and you
When: Wednesday August 31 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: NBC 5 studios, 4805 Amon Carter Blvd, Fort Worth, TX
How: Bring your creativity and your smartphone with Snapchat and Facebook apps installed.
Note: Space for this event is limited to 25 participants; to help cover the costs of snacks and drinks we are asking attendees to chip in $5.
Many thanks to our incredible friends at NBC5 who have volunteered to host this month’s event.
