Sharon Pian Chan is vice president of philanthropy at The New York Times. She was previously a VP of Innovation, Product & Development at The Seattle Times, and before that a reporter, editor and digital journalist. She has served as national president of AAJA. She received her B.A. from Pomona College and her Executive M.B.A. from MIT.
