Paula Rogo is a media entrepreneur and journalist currently based out of Nairobi, Kenya. She is the founder of Kali Media, which connects and creates content for East African women. This includes the first podcast for African women entrepreneurs, “”I Have No Idea What I’m Doing”” launched in 2018. She is also currently the freelance weekend editor for Essence Magazine.
She was previously the Africa Editor for the Christian Science Monitor, where she reported and edited from different parts of the continent. In 2015, Paula traveled to Nigeria as an International Center for Journalists (ICFJ’s) “Bringing Home the World” fellow, to report on the impact of the Boko Haram insurgency on education.
She also previously worked with PBS’ Washington Week and PBS Newshour on their digital teams, as well as Reuters. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Columbia’s University’s School of Journalism.
