Anika works with media organizations to harness grassroots creativity and audience passion, thereby creating sustainable community-driven and -supported media programs. She’s a strong advocate for better engagement and audience-driven storytelling. She advocates for diversity and inclusion in journalism, both in stories and within organizations. She’s worked as a product manager, journalist, researcher, writer and teacher. She’s currently a senior product manager at the Atlantic; an adjunct instructor at American University; and a member of the leadership team for DCFemTech, an organization that advances women’s leadership in technology in the DC area.
