Kellen represents the newsroom and readers in digital product design and development at The New York Times, where she is currently working on a cross-platform redesign of The Times home pages. In her role as Assistant Editor for Digital Platforms, she specializes in mobile and web product development, guides and manages internal tools and workflows to power those experiences and guides efforts to test new content strategies, specifically around growing international audiences. Before joining The Times, Kellen produced the award-winning AP Mobile app at the Associated Press and helped launch Bloomberg’s “Bloomberg Government” site as a founding web producer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
