Julie is an experienced editor with a passion for unearthing powerful stories and telling them in ways that serve, engage and grow online audiences. She is currently Deputy Editor at Time.com, where she oversees enterprise features, search strategy and Time Labs, a data visualization team that produces many of the site’s most-read stories. She joined TIME as a news editor in 2015 and was promoted the following year to run TIME’s breaking news desk. Previously, Julie worked as an editor at DNAinfo New York, an award-winning neighborhood news website, where she managed a team of reporters pursuing investigative stories and local scoops. She has also worked as a reporter covering New York City, writing about everything from Occupy Wall Street to segregation in public schools. Julie lives in Brooklyn, where you can often find her at Unnameable Books (her favorite bookstore) and Ample Hills Creamery (her favorite ice cream shop).
