I am a journalist for ABC News, Analysis and Investigations working on content research/strategy alongside our innovation lead. Hired in 2015 as a social media consultant, I have been with ABC for several years now in various roles. In former lives I was Twitter Australia’s news partnerships manager; the Walkley Foundation’s communications manager; and before moving to Sydney in 2013, an award-winning bureau reporter for The West Australian.
I was a founding committee member of Women in Media in two states and helped facilitate the network’s national expansion before becoming a proud committee member of Media Diversity Australia. Keenly interested in verification practices, I recently represented APAC at the First Draft Practitioner Training at Harvard University. In 2004, I graduated from Curtin University with a BA Journalism and I now lecture regularly to Masters of Journalism students. I love networking, travel and singing in my acapella group “Pitches Be Crazy”.
