The Education Writers Association is the national nonpartisan nonprofit organization for reporters who cover education. EWA’s mission is to strengthen the community of education writers and improve the quality of education coverage that keeps the public informed. With seven categories with more than $10,000 in prizes available, the purpose of EWA National Awards for Education Reporting is to underscore the importance of excellent storytelling as a cornerstone of education and democracy. EWA hosts an annual National Seminar which is the largest and most prestigious gathering of education journalists, experts, leaders and advocates each year.
