The Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) is a community of media and tech companies, NGOs, journalists, human rights activists, and others working to combat mis- and disinformation through technical implementations of the open standard for content authenticity and provenance. With over 800 members (including AFP, AP, BBC, CBC, Gannett, Getty Images, McClatchy, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post), the CAI is a mission-driven group focused on increasing trust in media through transparency and tamper-evident technology.
